Goals of Atonement Preschool:

  • Spiritual: To convey an awareness of God’s love, and an appreciation of God’s world.
  • Social-Emotional: We encourage each child to grow as a unique individual while learning to interact among their peers.
  • Cognitive: We continually explore our environment to help every child understand their world.  Through various planned activities we make discoveries in the areas of science, math, social studies, and language.
  • Language: Speech is focused on through books, music, finger plays, story telling and puppetry.  An alphabet “Letter of the Week” will help prepare children for kindergarten.
  • Gross Motor: We play games and participate in activities that include running, jumping, throwing, climbing, and balancing each day.
  • Fine Motor: Puzzles, games, beads, blocks, Legos, etc. are readily available during free play to give our children a chance to exercise their smaller muscles and improve their eye-hand coordination. 

Creative art projects are worked on together to help form an interest and enhance all of these skills.

Preschool Programs Available for the 2011-2012 School Year:

Morning classes, 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.

Two days T/Th
3 yr olds (3 by Sept. 1 and potty trained)

Three days M/W/F
3 yr olds (by Sept. 1 and potty trained and have attended Atonement Toddler Program)
4 yr olds (4 yrs. by Sept. 1)

NATURALIST CLUB T/Th (4 & 5yr old nature and journaling enrichment)
T& TH 9:00- 11:30

TOGETHER TIME (18 months - 30 months) Parent and child
Mon. 9:00 - 10:30

TODDLER CLASS **9:15-11:30 (2 ½ by Sept. 1)
W & F 9:00 - 11:15
T & Th 9:00 - 11:15

Afternoon Classes, 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.

Registration Opens
First preference: Atonement families - January 3-14
Second preference: Current preschool students and siblings - January17-31. 
Third preference Community - February 1
