Atonement Lutheran Church: Schedule for the Season of Lent
Wednesdays in Lent: Faith Matters
Once again, we prepare for our journey through the season of Lent. This year we have opportunities for fellowship, learning, and worship for all ages. We gather together to explore the central matters of faith, because we believe faith matters.
Ash Wednesday, February 17
Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion at 12:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. We begin our Lenten journey with a cross of black ashes smudged upon our brows, reminding us of our human sinfulness and mortality, but also inviting us to begin anew each day, washed in the water of God’s grace and forgiveness.
